Every living human being should take an interest in their personal health. Now, having said that, it’s crystal clear that many individuals don’t. This is sad, because it truly can lead to health issues such as obesity, cancer and heart disease. There is no doubt that nutrition and physical fitness play a big part. This means you better have a decent diet and exercise regimen. Whether you’re male or female is irrelevant. Since I am a man, I turn to current mens health articles and magazines for assistance. If you are a modern-day male, who expects to live a long and healthy life, then you should do the same.

I think it’s normal for many of us to start pondering their answers once we hit our 30s. Suddenly we realize that we’re not children anymore. When I turned 30 last year, this is exactly what I did. Okay, maybe it wasn’t the very same day, but it wasn’t long after. And it still is. I found out that thousands of men are afflicted with this. Well guess what? I don’t want to be one of them, and I certainly don’t plan to be. This is the sort of mens health issues you should be thinking about.

The magazine entitled “mens health” is also a great a great source of knowledge. I subscribed to this one when my daughter brought a fund raiser home from school. It gives the modern-day man all sorts of ideas and solutions to think about. Anything from fitness, to diet, to prostate cancer, to hair loss, to sex drive is discussed and elaborated on. It’s understandable to want to get stacked. I am referring to ripped abs and massive arms. Many guys want and often crave this look. It’s what the opposite sex has deemed manly and attractive. Although many women claim to love the “sensitive man,” for some reason these guys always get dumped and left on a curb somewhere, crying. It’s not a pretty sight. I’ve seen it before. So, many men turn to bodybuilding, sports and martial arts as a means to bulk up and get tougher. Not a bad idea! The question soon arises regarding how buff you want to become and what are you willing to do in order to reach that point. Well, now that we’re on the topic, I must state that one specific thing you DO NOT want to do is resort to body building steroids. This is merely a lame route of ancient bodybuilders.

It’s often discussed how terrible drugs are. You can read about it in the paper or maybe catch a story on tonight’s local news. One thing I have never heard about illegal drugs is something good they’ve done for a user. I’ve never flipped on the news and heard a story about how Brad Pitt used cocaine and it turned him into a genius, or Tom Cruise took crack and suddenly ended world hunger. Nothing great or amazing ever happens. The same can be noted about body building steroids. No athlete ever turned into Superman and became a legend for taking these drugs. Only BAD things occur. Well folks, nothing has really changed. Steroids are still horrible and should always be avoided.

I think it’s great if you’re beginning a weight training program or fitness regimen. These require hard work and discipline if you plan to bulk-up. There are two sides to it and neither involves body building steroids. You have to train hard with heavy weights, and consume plenty of healthy protein and calories. If you’re slim and striving to pack on 10-20 pounds of muscle, get ready for some eating. Take your body weight and multiply it times 25. There’s your daily caloric intake. You may want you consume 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight each day. But whatever you do, avoid resorting to body building steroids. If you’re looking for an edge, I recommend whey protein shakes. These are healthy and boost your immune system. And finally, if you want to some extra power, you can always give creatine a shot. Watch those biceps swell.

Eating Right in Healthy Aging
You have to eat right in order to stay healthy. If you do not eat right, your body does not receive the nutrients it needs to stay healthy. You have to eat so it fuels your body. Similar to a motor vehicle, which you add gas to travel; the body requires food that promotes energy, making it go. Too much food is not good for you and not enough of the right food can be harmful to your health.
Choosing good foods to eat:
Not all foods is good for you, yet liver is loaded with iron which is good for your blood, but to much isn’t good for you either. Fruits and vegetables are good for you but again not too much because the fruit will turn into sugar and that’s not good for you. Too much may give you the gibes, especially if you have to watch your weight. You can get high cholesterol as well from food if your not careful. High cholesterol can lead to harden arteries, which follows by strokes or heart attacks. So you need to eat but watch what you are eating and how much of it in a days time.
How will I know if am not eating right?
When you go to your doctor, he will tell you if you need to go on a diet. Your doctor will be able to tell by your weight. Then he may put you on a diet to lose weight or a diet to help you gain weight. He will tell you want to eat and how much as well as what not to eat. Then he may tell you to excise everyday. You have to be able to burn up what you take in so it will not turn into sugar or fat.
Remember that you should try to feast from the four food groups. Try to make sure that you only eat the amount your suppose to, and get your excise that you need to make you healthy. You can always call your family doctor to ask him how to do something if you don’t know how they will also help you to learn how to count your calories as well it is a big job when it comes to dieting you have to know how to count your calories and weigh your food. If you don’t you are not going to do want your suppose to do.
The world is filled with support groups that will help you if need support. More then likely you can go to your local hospital and they will know how to get you in touch with a group. These groups are great. The groups will give you support during the time that you need help. At group meetings, you will meet people with the same problems you have and you can give each other the support. Just remember to set a goal but don’t make it so high that you can’t do it and give up. Start out a little at a time and then as you get better you can get a increase your plans. In addition, what ever you do try to stick to it, it takes will power and control.
Willpower the master:
Willpower is a powerful mechanism inside you. If you want to find this willpower take a seat, sit down and talk with you to see what you can find. As you learn more about you, you gain willpower that takes you beyond your abilities, which means you will have a healthy aging in the future.
