There are many diets, exercise programs, and weight loss supplements out there that claim they can help you to lose pounds of fat in short amounts of time. Many of these programs come and go because they do not promote healthy weight loss. Many weight loss supplements become popular and then there is a health warning about them. Here are three tips to ensure you are losing weight in a healthy and safe manner.

Exercise. Many diet plans claim you can lose weight without exercise. It is true that you can lose weight by diet alone; however, it is very difficult to maintain weight loss from diets after you start eating regular foods again. When you are exercising you are burning calories and fat. A good exercise plan will have cardio, stretching aspects, and strength training elements to it. There are many cardio options at home, outdoors, or the gym. You can do workout DVDs; go running, hiking, biking, or swimming; there is a wide variety of class offered at the gym or you can use the elliptical or treadmill. Strength training will add lean muscles to your body.

Lean muscle burns more calories while you are resting. Stretching also helps you to create the lean muscle. Other than adding to your flexibility, stretching elongates the muscle fibers making them become long and lean. Another good way to help you get lean muscle is to take a whey protein supplement. Whey protein is easy to digest compared to soy protein supplements. The best kind of whey protein is an isolate. It has 90% pure protein with fewer fats and carbohydrates than concentrates. Healthy Diet. There are a lot of fad diets out there that say you can eat whatever you want and sill lose weight. But wait a minute.

Didn’t eating whatever you want get you here to begin with? Along with exercise, a good weight loss plan includes a healthy diet. A healthy diet includes fruits, vegetables, good carbohydrates (complex carbohydrates) to give you energy, lean meats, and good fats. Yes, there are good fats. These fats are essential to our body’s well being. Contrary to what some of the fad diets tell you, not all carbohydrates are bad. Good carbohydrates include whole grains/wheat, fruits, vegetables, and beans. They have more nutrients and more fiber than the simple carbohydrates. Water. Water is a very important liquid. It is natural and abundant.

It doesn’t have any fillers or added sweeteners. If you want to lose weight, experts suggest that you drink about a gallon of water a day. Contrary to popular belief, drinking water does not make you gain water weight. Water is needed to flush the fat that is burned out of your body. It keeps your muscle plump and your skink looking vibrant. Diet sodas and juices are no substitute for water. They contain artificial sweeteners and added sugars that are bad for you. Diet sodas are filled with empty calories. Anyone looking to lose weight should stay away from diet sodas and juices. No matter how many diets or weight loss supplements there are in the world, experts agree that the best way to lose weight is through proper dieting, exercise and drinking water.

Some people see this as a waste because so many people aren’t going to keep up with the visits and continue to workout during the year. However, there are ways to maximize the benefits that are offered, making it easier to stick with the goals that you have set and visit regularly. Read the Contract Most people sign on the dotted line and just assume that all they are getting is a membership to one of the fitness centers. They don’t look though the information too see what is included in that membership, Sure the doors are open every morning at the same time and closed at the same time every night. Sure there is equipment for everyone that is free for members to use. But what else is included? Many of the details are included in the contract. Inside you may find out more about what you can do while you are spending time within the fitness centers walls. Is there a pool and spa? Are massages offered? Are there any classes that are offered weekly that you might be interested in? Set Up a Meeting with a Staff Member Most fitness centers offer so much more than equipment and a place to workout to their members. One of the best resources that you can tap into is a staff member. Take the time to sit down with him and find out just what this place has to offer you. Many will give new members a chance to meet with a personal trainer two or three times to help them get started. How many members are skipping over this benefit? Meet with the trainer and find out what you can be doing to maximize the time that you spend there.
You are less likely to let the membership go to waste if you are confident that what you are doing is going to make a difference in your health and well being. Is there a spinning class or a water aerobics class for you to attend? You can pair up things that you enjoy doing and associate them with the gym. Check for Discounts Finally, check for benefits that you may receive when you leave even after you walk out the door. Some understand a member’s need to travel and make it possible for you to attend a sister gym while you are out of town. Others offer discounts on products that encourage healthy eating and weight loss. There is a chance that you are not going to know about these things without asking. Look at this membership as an investment in yourself. In order to get the maximum benefit, take advantage of all that it has to offer. You might be surprised to find what you are getting for the monthly fee that you are paying. If you haven’t already signed up for one of the fitness centers in your area, use these ideas as a guideline to choose the facility that is going to offer you the most for your money.

Fitness is so much more important than most people imagine. Fitness isn’t just about looking good, but about feeling your best and being able to dig in and enjoy life. Diet fitness is probably the most important element to success and being able to reach your personal goals. The food you eat accounts for up to 80% of your fitness efforts. This truly puts a different spin on the way we should be looking at food and how it applies to our fitness goals.

If you’ve ever heard the phrase “Garbage In, Garbage Out”, it should be particularly important when it comes to our bodies on a daily basis. It’s impossible to feel your best when you fill your body with food that amounts to nutritional garbage. Become a food snob! Exercise your right to a healthy and beautiful body by refusing to purchase or eat inferior overly processed food. Demand fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and lean meats at every meal.

Aim for as much as 85% of each day’s diet to come from raw, whole, unprocessed food as close to it’s natural state as possible. By embracing raw, whole and unprocessed foods as the major portion of your daily food intake, you will go a long way in achieving diet fitness and a healthy body. An exercise diary is the place to document your exercise program and goals. Your goals will determine the type of exercise program you will want to pursue. Starting a new fitness program is quite different than a fit athlete working on marathon training. Both, however, benefit from coming up with a plan for how they will meet their exercise goals. Someone new to exercise will want to start slowly, doing short sessions of cardiovascular training, strength training and stretching.

A marathon athlete might spend a great deal of time on improving cardiovascular fitness and endurance, and less on strength and stretching. There are nutritional supplements available, however, that are indispensable for enhancing muscle-building and fat loss. 1. glutamine How Glutamine works: glutamine is known as a “conditionally essential” amino acid; it becomes “essential” during intense exercise such as weight training or cardiovascular exercise, as the need for glutamine is greatly increased. During bouts of intense activity (or stress), glutamine enters the bloodstream and travels into the liver where it is converted into glucose; this newly synthesized glucose helps to fuel the working muscles.

This process is known as gluconeogenesis-the process of turning a non-carbohydrate substance (glutamine and some other amino acids) into glucose which can be used for energy. 2. Branched chain amino acids (BCAAS) How BCAAs work: Unlike glutamine, BCAAs, consisting of leucine, isoleucine, and valine, are essential amino acids, meaning that the body cannot synthesize them from precursors-they must be obtained from the diet.

Like glutamine, there is a greater requirement for BCAAs during intense exercise such as weight training and they are derived primarily from catabolized muscle tissue. Creatine monohydrate: How creatine works: Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is the primary energy source to fuel intense muscular contractions, such as those during sprinting or weight-training. ATP contains a high-energy phosphate bond, which is broken down into ADP (adenosine monophosphate), releasing the energy necessary for muscles to contract. Every muscle cell has a store of phosphate, from which ADP is recycled back into ATP to continue fueling contractions.

Dieting is the practice of ingesting food in a regulated fashion to achieve or maintain a controlled weight. In many cases, the ultimate goal of women who wants to go on a diet is to lose weight. Diets can generally promote weight loss and they are divided in many categories like low fat, low carbohydrate, low calorie, and very low calorie. Women normally watch their food intake and healthy habits, but more than a third of the women’s population is already overweight, and the importance of getting fit and healthy is getting critical.

One way to get fit is to adopt a healthy lifestyle and diet. But with all the diets, exercise crazes, and other activities out there, it is very difficult to find the perfect diet to utilize. No exact diet will work for everyone. You need to find the diet that fits your personality and needs. What you need to do is just choose a diet that you know can be a big part of your lifestyle. Do not trust diets that promise fast weight loss without any effort and do not trust diets that promise results without exercise and changes in your eating behavior. Your Lifestyle and the Diet Options The diet that suits you most is the one that suits your lifestyle. If you are sedentary, you should select the diet that put an emphasis on exercise. If you are constantly craving sweets, try the Carbohydrate Addict diet.

If you are into body building, you can try the Targeted Ketogenic Diet or the Cycling Ketogenic Diet. If you have a blood sugar problem and any other cholesterol problem, try the Dr. Atkins diet. There are many types of diets out there and you should choose the one that will be most convenient to you. Choosing the Diet When it comes to choosing the right diet, there are some simple reminders and tips that you should follow. * Try the Metabolic Typing Diet if you are unsure whether you should choose the diet that is lower or higher in carbohydrates. * If you are looking for a low fat diet that is predominantly vegetarian, choose the Macrobiotic Diet. This diet can prevent hormonal related cancer like breast cancer. * If you are having problems with your digestion, sinuses, and breathing, you should do the detox diet. You will feel a lot healthier, and you can experience the juice fasting method. * Choose a low carbohydrate diet if you have blood sugar problems. The Zone diet is a low carb diet that includes essential fatty acids and plenty of antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables. * Try the Alkaline Diet if you feel uncomfortable on high protein diet.

This will help in counterbalancing the effects of diets will lots of protein, caffeine, sugar, processed and junk foods and grains. * If you have a liking for Indian food, try the Ayurvedic diet. * If you have any food allergies and sensitivities, a simple three-week elimination and challenge diet will help you identify all of them. * If you have irritable bowel movement syndrome or any inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis, Crohn’s disease, or any small intestine bacterial overgrowth, you can try the Specific Carbohydrate Diet.

And you want to know what all the fuss is about, and most of all – does it actually work or is it just another scam? Well let me introduce myself first. My name is William Messruther and I am an experienced dieting consultant.

I have been studying and working in this field for 6 years now. In particular I spend most of my time studying the latest fad diets and wether or not they actually work, followed by the effects they can have on people. So now you know a little about me, lets get back to the point of this article already!I have received a lot of emails recently from people asking about this diet program called The Simple Diet Guide, so I thought it was about time I checked this one out. At first I thought, “Oh here we go, yet another money making machine on the loose trying to scam people out of their hard earned pennies!”, but to my amazement this was actually not the case! The Simple Diet Guide offers two packages, gold and platinum – both of which are reasonably priced.

For my studies I went with the Platinum package to see everything they have to offer. Upon signing up and logging in, things are looking good already! The members area is nice and bold and has 6 main features which comprise of; a downloadable PDF which is the actual 60 page Dieting Guide, a Lifestyle Questionnaire, a Diet Generator, a Calorie Diary, a Printable Recipe Section, and a Community Forum. The main thing I want to talk about is the Diet Guide they offer. I have read this from top to bottom and I can tell you that this is the real deal, seemingly written by professionals.

Very simple to understand, it tells you everything that you NEED to know about the Metabolism, Calories, Anabolism and Catabolism, GI Index, Nutrition and Food Types, Hydration, BMI, Methods to follow, Money saving tips and more. Now that may seem a bit of gobbledy-gook to you, but they have managed to keep it short and simple, while still giving you adequate information. The rest of the site features also managed to impress me and I will briefly take you over my findings now.

The lifestyle questionnaire is designed to get info about your personal health situation and the team use this in order to give you personal advice on what you can do to improve you quest in weight loss. The Diet Generator was fantastic and allows you to tell it what food you like and dislike, then transforms this information into a 2 week eating plan! The calorie Diary lets you keep track of your daily calorie intake, and the Recipe section is full of exciting recipes to try. The forum was a good community full of people with the same goals who where sharing their experiences and achievements. So as you may have gathered already, I was very impressed with this package as a whole and will most certainly be recommending it to future clients.

There are many sites out there that claim to help you lose weight, but I can tell you from my knowledge that most are scams, and a lot are very unhealthy. The Simple Diet Guide is none of these and it is definitely worth the small investment as they claim, and I back them up on the fact that you WILL lose weight if you stick to this plan. For more information you can visit my Diet Review Site at: http://www. simpledietreview. com

Muffins It’s better not to choose a whole piece of chocolate muffins as your breakfast. The calorie of a 100-gram chocolate muffin accounts for about 1/10 of total daily calories intake of an ordinary adult. Muffin contain large amounts of fat, sugars, though some people think it is a kind of weight loss food with nutritional value. Actually, muffin is just a kind of cake. Smoothie It is a popular drink for breakfasts or exercise breaks. In fact, fresh fruit could be a sensible choice. Although smoothie is made from nutritious fruit, it’s added with sugar which makes it high in calorie. Nuts Nuts are important sources of healthy fat and fiber. However, most nuts, like almond, cashew, happy fruit and sunflower seeds, should be controlled in 1/4 capacity of a cup. Nuts are high-calorie food, though Healthy fat is a necessity for body growth. Get control of the intake. Don’t mistakenly assume that they are low in calories and you can rest assured to eat how much as you like, or excessive calories would be eaten. Sushi Most people think that sushi can be a kind of low-calorie food. Actually, about 10 pieces of sushi, though small in size, have equal calorie with two bowls rice. If you choose high-heat sushi, such as eel, roe artisan, crab salads, tuna salads and soya sheet sushi, etc, five or six pieces are equivalent to calorie of a hamburger. For fitness sushi, you’d better choose the oil free and sauceless sushi and sashimi. Dip a little Japanese mustard before eating, for it has bactericidal effect and can reduce stomach discomfort to sushi. In a word, healthy diet is a key to fitness and health.

Fitness is a way of thinking and being. Fitness is physical and mental too: a healthy body leads to a healthy mind. The good habits developed in improving your physique and strength and stamina often pay off in a sense of well-being and a cleaner, healthier view of your place in this challenging world. To realize the best possible fitness program for you, listen to your body. This means paying attention to its moods and rhythms. It translates to limbering up your body regularly through a routine of stretching and basic aerobics.

Regular, daily walking is an often overlooked tool in establishing a foundation for fitness. Its benefits have been praised for good reason. The oldest kinetic human activity is naturally good for us while avoiding stressing joints and muscles. A solid, crisp-paced 35-40 minute daily walk maintains an aerobic baseline, helps circulation and boots energy and mood. Different people have different bodies, different histories of physical activity and varying levels of confidence in the physical realm. A fitness program designed for a 37 year old man with a background in competitive sports shares limited attributes with one geared to an 80 year old woman who wants to battle osteoporosis. Though her effort is just as valid as his, the mechanics of achievement will be different.

Fitness might be taken for devotion. If the body is a temple, then fitness programs might be forms of worship. True fitness is based on a sympathetic attitude towards the body. Body and mind, mind and body. They are meant to work together. Even if the mind is the body’s master in some ways, don’t turn this into tyranny. Many of our neuroses stem from a too-powerful brain that turns into something like an opponent.

A good fitness routine is varied and interesting. Designing a routine with complementary elements is good common sense. It prevents boredom. It ‘works’ different parts of the body. By mixing stretching, walking, weight lifting, sprinting and cardiovascular activities – and adding a favorite sport – you maximize your fitness potential. Build a program that works for you, keeps your interest, addresses any health issues and improves your athletic performance. Consult with a physician and personal trainer, purchase helpful products – and get to work! Do you want more energy and generally better health? Logic suggests you plan a general exercise and nutrition program that builds strength, cardiovascular level and stamina. The hardest part is to honestly evaluate your current fitness level and eating habits. Before getting strenuous, consult a doctor. Seek out good workout facilities and at-home assists. These could be jump ropes, barbells or hand grippers.

Make systematic changes to your current diet (many people just don’t ‘eat right’). Research nutrition, ignoring fad diets and radical cures to excessive weight. Keep in mind that most of us eat a little too much – and more than a little too many processed foods. Emphasize a balanced diet. Talk to a nutritionist or read two or three of the many fine books out there on the subject. Eating right – which in almost every case also translates to eating less – is an underrated catalyst in an improved fitness calculus. If you are an athlete or a reborn athlete chasing superior performance in your chosen sport, the equation changes accordingly. You still need to get a fix on your present level, and consider nutritional habits and changes within the plan. It makes sense to measure body fat percentage and receive a tangible view of speed, strength and stamina levels. The differences are found in the focus and emphasis of the specific program. As an athlete, build a specific fitness program that integrates skills and attributes most appropriate for your sport.

If you are a sprinter or tennis player, customize a program that you combines strength with speed and coordination exercises. A long-distance runner or rower will benefit from a program designed to increase endurance and stamina. No matter the specific sport, focus on a nutrition plan that increases energy while reducing excess weight or fatigue. You should also factor in the days on which you compete, making sure your diet before and after an event enhances both performance and recovery.

You probably started with great zeal and perhaps had good preliminary results. Why did you stop doing it? You’ve probably been one of the victims of one of the three workout killers – time, money and energy. Let us discuss it together to show why they kill the development and what you can do to get back on track with a program and Atlanta personal trainer you can easily follow. Most programs require just too much time. People are too worried and too annoyed to give at least an hour a day routine. Someone with a full-time work and family life, it will almost be impossible to find even 15 minutes of exercise, let alone the commute back and forth to a gym. Being and staying fit can be very costly. That will cost hundreds of dollars annually to join a gym and been use thousands of dollars in hiring a personal trainer. On a side note however, the price you pay for an Atlanta personal trainer will be outweighed by the results you will get. The hugest exercise killer would be energy. Most programs will need too much of you which may lead to destroying your motivation. You may be able to drag yourself to obligate 4-5 hours of cardio and weights a week, but you will almost certainly feel sore and tired the rest of the week. There will be no more energy or craving left to do things you really enjoy in life. All this will be crazy and utterly useless if you get derailed! The good news is that the training necessary to keep in shape can be done within just minutes per week with the help of professional Atlanta personal trainer. If you make the right exercises in the form to the right and follow the simple rules of progression, your fitness needs are met before you even notice them.

When you think of gyms, you’re probably thinking of places that are packed to the gills with sweating people, populated by gigantic meatheads who grunt and groan and throw weights around. FitnessWise is not that place. FitnessWise is the premier Bethesda fitness center, and it has earned its reputation by giving its clients an entirely different experience. Instead of crowding in with dozens of other people trying to get their workouts in, you can work out in a pleasant open atmosphere where you have all the time you need to get the workout you want. FitnessWise does this by strictly limiting the number of clients that are allowed into their spacious and well equipped strength, plyometric, cardio, and stretching areas. This means that you can work out the way you want, when you want, a benefit that no other Bethesda fitness center is going to give you. The underlying philosophy of this top Bethesda fitness center is to give you an experience that is as relaxed and stress free as your own home. Truth be told, with the amenities that FitnessWise offers, from towel service to complimentary fresh fruits and filtered water, the FitnessWise studios are probably more stress free and relaxed than many of our homes. If you feel that you need help to get the workout you need, FitnessWise has a fitness team that will guide through your workouts. This starts with a comprehensive fitness test to find out what your weak spots are, which the trainers use to create a custom program for you to take your body to the highest level. This includes special personal strength training sessions, where the trainers work with you directly to give you a body that is strong, healthy and fit. If you have trouble pushing yourself in your cardio session, personal training is available for your sessions as well, making sure that you get the maximum benefit from your time. FitnessWise didn’t get to be the top Bethesda health club just by offering clients a great atmosphere and awesome training. When you’re a client at FitnessWise, you also get access to their Mind Body Studio and their FightWise martial arts center. In the Mind Body Studio, you can take a variety of class designed to exercise both body and mind, including Yoga, Pilates, Total Body Conditioning, and the world famous Zumba dance exercise class. You can hone your body and learn to defend yourself with Muay Thai Kickboxing in the FightWise Studio, where instructors teach a mix of kickboxing, boxing, and grappling that challenges your body and gives you the ability to protect yourself. Regardless of what classes you choose to take, be it yoga or martial arts, you will get top quality instruction in a small class setting by some of the best teachers around. You will get the personal treatment that will take you where you want to go.
